The Secretary of the CRE was elected as the Provincial for French Province
Zdzisław (François) Stanula CSsR – the Secretary of the Conference of Redemptorists of Europe was elected as the Provincial for French Province of Redemptorists. The new French Province will include two present provinces: Lyon-Paris and Strasbourg.
Fr. Zdzislaw was born in 1964 in south-east Poland. He finished his philosophy and theology studies in The Major Seminary of Redemptorists in Tuchow (Poland). His first religious profession was in 1987 and he was ordained as the priest in 1992.
After the brief staying in Paris, where he was learning French, he went to Burkina Faso for mission work (1993-2006). He studied the moral theology in Madrid in 1994 – 1996, and he received the licentiate degree. He was working in formation houses (postulancy, studentate) in Africa many years. He was giving the lectures about moral theology in the Major Seminary in Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso). He prepared many seminars for religious and lay people about moral theology and religious life. He was the president of the Formation Commission Burkina Faso – Niger (2004-2006).
He was working as the parish vicar and the diocesan chaplain of Spanish speaking migrants in Perth Amboy in Metuchen Diocese (NJ) in USA (2006-2008). He has started his doctorate studies in Alphonsian Academy in Rome in 2008. He was living in Paris from 2009 to almost the end of 2011. He was elected as the Secretary of the Conference of Redemptorists in Europe in 2011 and he was living in Rome.
