The interprovincial month of spiritual renewal started in Kraków

The Eucharist celebrated on July 05 in the chapel at the redemptorist religious house in Krakow, Poland, was the first point of the four-week-long spiritual preparation in the Conference of Europe that seven brothers started before their final profession in August. The group consists of five brothers from the Province of Warsaw and two from the Province of Bratislava-Prague. They will spend the first week in Kraków and the other three weeks in Tuchów. Fr. Adam Kośla, C.Ss.R., the prefect of the studentate in Poland, is to facilitate the confreres in their preparation and supervise the formation program.

The month of spiritual renewal is when candidates for final vows have the opportunity to prepare themselves profoundly for the important event. They do this by attending spiritual conferences, personal prayer, participating in the Eucharist, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, and simply spending time together in community. The month of renewal is also a time to bring to mind significant figures, including the saints and blessed of the Congregation, who are examples of following the Redeemer for every redemptorist.

Please, keep in prayer those who entered this particular time of direct preparation for the final profession that can, in freedom and with generosity, respond to Christ’s call to live vows of chastity, poverty and obedience as Redemptorists throughout their whole life.
