The challenges for the CRE in 2015

The situation of CRE relating to the new Units; the apostolic priorities; and patrimony in the quickly changing reality of many Units; as well as the common meetings for 2015 in CRE, were some of the issues discussed during the meeting of the Council of CRE. The meeting took place in Rome from 11th to 14th February 2015.
The Council (Fr. Jacek Zdrzałek, Fr. Pedro Lopez and Fr. Johannes Römelt) discussed the ways in which it is possible to present the work and how to involve the new Major Superiors in the common activities of various secretariats and commissions of the CRE.
The missionary work and the first experiences of the Interprovincial Community in Albania were discussed and the Council decided about the regular financial support needed for this new mission. Much time was dedicated to the preparation for the IC in Luxembourg.
Superior General Fr. Michael Brehl, Consultor General Fr. Alberto Eseverri and new Provincial of France Fr. Zdzislaw François Stanula were present for a few hours during the meeting. The situation of whole French speaking zone in the CRE were discussed with them.
The Council asked Fr. Pietro Sulkowski (Rome Province) to be the part-time Secretary of CRE, in place Fr. Stanula who has become the Provincial of France.
There were also first discussions about the next Assembly of CRE in Porto in September 22-24, 2015.
