European Brothers Meeting

The Secretariat for brothers organised the first pan-European brothers meeting in Vienna (9-13 September). 35 confreres attended the meeting in Don Bosco house, Vienna

They spoke about the Year of Faith, and also had a presentation on the new Spanish Redemptorist Martyrs, who are to be beatified on October 12. There was a pilgrimage to the sites in Vienna associated with St Clement, ending in Maria am Gestade, the Redemptorist community in Vienna, where St Clement’s relics are kept. Also on the programme was a festive meal at the community in Vienna-Hernals.

On the last day the participants had a pilgrimage to Mariazell, which concluded with a solemn Mass in the basilica. A visit to a restaurant in Vienna finished the final day.
