Common preparation before Perpetual Vows in the CRE 2017
For the fifth time we invite our formandee from all our Units in the CRE for the common preparation before Perpetual Vows.
This year the preparation will be held from 4 July to 4 August in our community house in Cracow (from 4 to 11 July) and in our seminary in Tuchów (from 11 July to 4 August) under the direction of Fr. Witold Hetnar CSsR, Prefect of Students in the Warsaw Province of Redemptorists. The course will be conducted in English, Italian and Polish with translation being available into these languages. Until now we know that at least 10 confreres before perpetual vows will take part in this course.
Moreover we offer and recommend this opportunity to any confrere from your Unit who may be in Transition to Ministry, or is in ministry for less than ten years, as a special experience of the internationality of the Congregation. The special time reserved for them is from 17 until 29 July 2017 (16 July – the day of arrival; 30 July – the day of departure). We hope that this international experience, suggested by the General Chapter and supported by the formation decisions of the Superior General, will help all participants in their pastoral and mission work. Already before this official letter a few confreres signalled their participation, but we hope that from every Unit some confreres, who wish to strengthen their formation, will take part.
The Formation Secretariat of the Conference of Europe is impressed by the holistic approach in terms of topics covered: our history, Constitutions, spirituality, moral theology, areas of psychology and human development, cooperation with the laity, youth ministry and other related areas. Visits to places of interest connected with our Redemptorist life and with culture (e.g. UNESCO sites) are also part of the experience.
The costs are as usual, modest. For those who are preparing for perpetual vows the cost is 755 Euros for the whole one month course (it means about 24 Euros per day). This price covers all costs: logistic, food, rooms in Kraków and Tuchów, speakers, interpreters, rental of translation equipment, sightseeing trips etc. For the confreres who will participate only two weeks the cost is 430 Euros per person.

Please, plan your trip in this way that you can take part in Evening Prayer at 5.00 p.m. on 4 July 2017. During the last day (4 August 2017) there will be morning Mass, and then you can plan your departure. You are welcome to come to Poland for some days before the course or stay longer after the meeting, if you wish.
If you are travelling by plane, please arrive at “Kraków-Balice International Airport” (sometimes known as “John Paul II Airport”) both for the confreres taking part in the whole of the Month of Renewal and only in the two weeks. You will be collected from the airport, please look for a person with a CSSR sign in the arrival area. Please send your travel details (day, time, flight number) to the contact person.
