Implementation of the decisions of XXV General Chapter
The implementation of the decisions of the last General Chapter and the preparations for the formation, evangelisation and social meetings during 2017 were the main topics of the meeting of the Council of the CRE.
Pedro Lopez (General Consultor); Johannes Roemelt (Provincial of Saint Clement Province), Piotr Sulkowski (Secretary) and Jacek Zdrzalek (Coordinator of the CRE) met in San Gioacchino community in Rome from 3 to 4 February 2017.
The Vicar of the Superior General, Fr. Alberto Eseverri took part in the meeting during the second day which was almost totally dedicated to the decisions of the General Chapter. There are 52 official decisions in the last version but more than 18 of them are specifically connected to some detailed projects and activities of the Conferences.
Fr. Alberto said that the official version of the decisions will be sent to all confreres very soon because the translation works are almost over. Because of so large a number of decisions (the biggest number during the last few General Chapters) the General Council is preparing a special agenda in which a priority of the implementation of the decisions will be presented. These agendas will be discussed during the meeting of the General Council with the Coordinators on 13-17 March 2017 and then every Council of the Conference will prepare a way of proceeding for the Third Phase of the General Chapter and the respective Assemblies. These process will be also be the main topic of the meeting of the Preparatory Commission for the Third Phase in the CRE which will take place in Rome from 6 to 7 April 2017.
The first preliminary discussion about the decisions give special attention to common ongoing and initial formation programmes in the CRE which will help this implementation process.
