Letter from the Coordinator, No 16  (17.06.2014)

 Dear Confreres,

     Dear Lay Missionaries of the Most Holy Redeemer,

          Dear Partners in Mission.

Të dashur Baskëvëllezër – Lutuni për ne!

(My Dear Confreres, pray for us! – in Albanian)

 I am delighted to present to you, the three confreres that have been appointed by the Council of the Conference of Redemptorists of Europe, to form the first interprovincial community of the conference. I am grateful to the Provincials of Madrid, London and Warsaw for their generosity in releasing these men.

     Community

Dominic O’Toole, 43 (11 years of religious profession), is from the Province of London. He is currently Parish Priest in Clapham, London.

Laureano Del Otero Sevillano, 37 (19 years of religious profession), is from the Province of Madrid. He is a member of the provincial council and chairs the secretariate for Evangelisation for the province. He currently works in Seville.

Andrzej Michoń, 37 (13 years of religious profession), is from the Province of Warsaw. He has worked for 2 years in Poland (Warsaw Province) and 7 years in Kazakhstan (St Gerard Region).

I have just returned from Tirana, with the three members of the community. We met with the Archbishop and his Auxiliary, and visited the parish that they will live and minister in. We had the opportunity to meet many of the parishioners, and also many other Priests and Religious working in the Capital.

At the beginning of August, they will gather in Dublin for two weeks, to discuss their community life and mission. They will, of course, also be learning some more Albanian. In September they will move to Rome, for two weeks of intensive language study.

I am very grateful to the provinces of Rome and Dublin for their hospitality during this time of preparation.

They will move to Tirana on the 13^th September, this will allow them to be present during the Apostolic visit of Pope Francis, on 21^st September. They will move into the parish of St John Maria Vianney at the end of September.

Some more information will be provided when the community have settled in Kamëz, Tirana.

Assembly of CRE

I would like to remind you that the Assembly will take place 23-25^th September 2014 in L’viv (Ukraine). Please arrive on the 22^nd, and arrange to leave on the 26^th. Fr. Ihor Kolisnyk, the Provincial of L’viv, invites all members of the Assembly to come, and wishes to assure you that L’viv is a very safe place to visit, and that flights via Kiev are also safe. Please notify the Provincial of your flight details by 10^th September. His email is kolisnyk@gmail.com.

 REDCAMP – School of Evangelisation
