Inauguration of the Interprovincial Novitiate of Lubaszowa-Podoliniec
The beginning of the common Interprovincial Novitiate for five Units (Warsaw, Bratislava, Prague, Michalovce and Saint Gerard) took place in Lubaszowa in Poland on 14th August 2015. According to the decision of the Superior General: “Every Unit must participate in an Interprovincial Novitiate Board even if it does not have novices in an Interprovincial Novitiate”.
Ten novices (8 from Poland and 2 from Slovakia) started their formation in Lubaszowa (Poland). However two novices from Viceprovince of Bratislava will go for the last three months of their Novitiate to Podoliniec in (Slovakia).
The inauguration was celebrated during Evening Prayer presided over by the Coordinator of the CRE. Fr. Jacek talked about the most important goals of the novitiate and about collaboration between novices and their formators.
The superiors from three Units (Fr. Vaclav Hypius – Bratislava, Fr. Dariusz Paszyński -Warsaw, Fr. Zenon Gieniec – Region of St. Gerard), Redemptorists who are helping in the formation process, Redemptorist seminarians and friends were present during this celebration.
There are two Novice Masters in this Interprovincial Novitaiate (Fr. Mariusz Chyrowski – Warsaw and Fr. Robert Rezny – Bratislava) and two Socius (Fr. Marcin Klamka and Fr. Jozef Mihok).
The common Novitiate Lubaszowa-Podoliniec has an Interprovincial Novitiate Board. The members of this Board have met twice to discuss common formation issues.
Some of the functions of Novitiate Boards are: writing Directories with guidelines for the selection of Novitiate Directors (formation team), approve Ratios outlining the programme of formation, approve Contracts or Memoranda of Understanding to guarantee participation and good faith among Units.
